From the moment we stepped into the venue, we could feel the momentum—the kind that only happens when passionate people come together to share ideas, solve real problems, and shape what’s next. As a team that lives and breathes WebOps, we left feeling inspired, connected, and excited about what’s ahead for Drupal and the digital teams who rely on it.

Here are a few of our favorite moments from the week:

🔥 The Driesnote: A Vision That Moves the Needle

This year’s Driesnote wasn’t just energizing—it was a clear call to action. Dries emphasized the importance of accelerating time to value for digital teams and highlighted some key initiatives that continue to build off of the innovation with Drupal CMS in 2024:

  • Site Templates: Building on top or recipes, incorporating themes with recipes to produce functional out-of-the-box solutions using Drupal. Helping teams spin up new experiences faster, without sacrificing security, flexibility or governance.
  • A Drupal Marketplace: One of the most exciting takeaways from the Driesnote was the call to imagine a true Drupal Marketplace—not just a home for open source modules and templates, but a platform that could also support commercial offerings. A space where contributors, agencies, and product teams can bring innovative tools, premium features, and services directly to the community—amplifying growth, driving visibility, and unlocking new opportunities across the ecosystem. It's a bold idea that could redefine how we collaborate, scale, and deliver value in the open web.

We couldn’t agree more: the future of Drupal is about enabling teams, not just building tools.

🎉 Community Connections That Fuel Innovation

The heart of DrupalCon has always been the people—and this year was no exception. We had the chance to reconnect with long-time friends, meet brilliant new voices, and spark collaborations that we know will carry forward into real impact.

We especially enjoyed:

  • The Acquia Party – always a highlight, with great energy and great conversations.
  • The Pantheon Party – never disappoints. The venue, the energy, the conversations were electric!
  • The Partner Summits – a great opportunity to align with peers on where the ecosystem is heading and how we can grow stronger together.

Of course there were many other events that we did not have a chance to attend! These events remind us that while we might represent different companies and roles, we’re united by a shared commitment to building better digital experiences.

💡 Sharing Knowledge to Move the Web Forward

We showed up ready to share—and loved every minute of it. We were thrilled to lead a session on a topic that sits at the heart of everything we do:
👉 Maximum Efficiency: Embracing the WebOps Mindset

In this talk, we broke down how adopting a WebOps mindset can transform the way digital teams work—streamlining collaboration between Marketing, IT, and Security to deliver faster, safer, and smarter. We shared real-world examples of how automation, open-source tooling, and flexible workflows can eliminate bottlenecks, improve deployment velocity, and give organizations the agility they need to meet business goals.

This isn’t just theory—it’s the foundation of how we help teams turn their websites into high-performing platforms for growth.

🔍 The Future of SEO in Drupal

One of the most exciting mini sessions in the Expo Hall was led by our own John Doyle, who co-led the new Drupal CMS SEO Track. He shared how the initiative is building a more editor-friendly, measurable, and performance-focused future for SEO directly within Drupal.

From better default metadata and sitemaps, to performance feedback and real-time guidance during content creation—the vision is clear: SEO shouldn’t be a black box. It should be integrated, intentional, and aligned with how teams actually work. These tools exist in Drupal, the goal of Drupal CMS was to make them easily accessible and showcase how they can be used.

We're proud to be part of this effort and look forward to helping shape what comes next.

🚀 Looking Ahead

If DrupalCon Atlanta was any indication, 2025 is shaping up to be a massive year for the Drupal community and the future of the open web.

We’re already counting down to what’s next—whether it’s continuing the conversation, sharing what we’re learning, or building new things together. You’ll find us at events throughout the year, including:

  • DrupalCamp Asheville – July 11–13
  • MidCamp – May 20–22
  • EvolveDrupal – June 6
  • DrupalGovCon – August 13–15
  • DrupalCon Vienna – October 14–17
    …and so many more.

We can’t wait to keep the momentum going. See you soon, wherever the community takes us next.
